Since 24th March 2020, we have officially closed for 3 weeks to comply with the UK government's guideline. We know that some of our customers are concerned about their MOT being due during this period, we have just received updates from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency which we shall share the details below.

New rules on MOT testing for light vehicles

Due to the unfolding COVID-19 situation, cars and vans and motorcycles due their MOT from 30 March 2020 will have their MOT extended by 6 months.

This will continue until confirmed otherwise.

This will allow vehicle owners to continue to be able to get to work where this absolutely cannot be done from home or do essential shopping.

Vehicles must be kept in a roadworthy condition and drivers can be prosecuted if they drive an unsafe vehicle.

 So in summary:

If your MOT is due before 30th March, please read this.
If your MOT is due from 30th March, please read this.

We will continue to monitor the situation and will update you if the situation changes. In the meantime please be assured that as soon as we open for business, we will be contacting all our customers who are due for MOT to book in to make sure that your vehicles are safe and roadworthy. You can also contact us via this form during this period if you have any futher questions.
