There’s been a lot of celebrating going on at Nathaniel Cars recently, and for a very good reason! We have plenty of things to shout about and Mitsubishi’s 40th anniversary provided the perfect starting point.
We hosted three days of activities to help promote Mitsubishi’s 40th anniversary which prominently featured the ground-breaking new Outlander PHEV. This 4x4 hybrid is one of the most economical and environmentally friendly vehicles on the market and is a true testament to the innovation of the manufacturer.
In addition to this, we wanted to shout about the fact that we’re now a main Subaru dealer. This comes just in time for the launch of the brand new Subaru WRX STi Type UK, which brings back the raw power and muscular looks of the McRae Impreza.
Being a Subaru main dealer isn’t the only change that’s happened at Nathaniel cars – we now have a brand new tyre bay and car wash. This has enabled us to give you a complete service from buying and selling cars to maintaining and even cleaning them!
We pulled out all the stops in order to make these three fun-filled day ones to remember! There was a charity car wash in full swing with Welsh rugby stars Richard Hibbard, James Hook and Ian Evans soaping up the cars. When they weren’t manning the jet wash they were mingling with our customers, signing autographs and posing for photos. The charity we supported the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA), who sent along some volunteers to help raise money and spread awareness of the work they do within the local community.
There were some real animals in our dealership as well, we had a Nathaniel Cars animal farm complete! This was a smash hit with the children who especially loved seeing and petting the ponies and goats. For the larger kids we had tractors and quad bikes on site with straw bales to complete the farm scene. Other activities also included an artist’s corner, where the children were able to sit and colour in Mitsubishi vehicle template sheets. One of our salesmen went above and beyond to entertain the children dressed in a dragon costume – needless to say, he was rather toasty thanks to the hot weather we’ve been having lately.
The celebrations didn’t stop there; we put on a free BBQ for all our customers and provided special offers for everyone purchasing cars or tyres during the Big Launch Weekend. There was also a free-to-enter prize draw which had some fantastic prices including a signed Welsh Football Shirt. Everyone who attended also received a 10% discount voucher for McArthur Glen Designer Outlet and we had a representative from NFU to discuss insurance as well as a local accountant who helped with company car tax enquiries.
Managing Director Wayne Griffiths said, “After 40 years I’ve learnt that basics still work well. Communicate with customers, invite them into your business, treat them well, let them see who you are and what you do to continue to build strong relationships. This positive relationship will bring rewards over time.”
