Electric cars on the Motability Scheme

Electric cars on the motability scheme

Here at Nathaniel Cars, we’re one of over 4,500 Motability Scheme dealerships across the UK.

The Motability Scheme allows you to exchange your mobility allowance to lease a new car. To be eligible, you need to receive one of the available mobility allowances, with at least 12 months left of your allowance remaining. The eligible allowances include the:

  • Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of your Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP)
  • Higher Rate Mobility Component of your Disability Living Allowance (HRMC DLA)
  • War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
  • Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)

It couldn’t be easier to lease a car. Simply choose one of the vehicles that are available on the scheme, find a local Motability dealer (like your friendly neighbourhood Nathaniel Cars!) and your payments will be deducted from your allowance. Depending on the vehicle that you choose, there maybe an advance payment to pay.

Many people use the Motability Scheme, and those who do may be wondering if you can lease an electric car on the scheme.
